The Clean

Who woulda thought this day would come huh? Although I still technically have "plenty" of time left, I figured it's probably a good time to start packing/trashing stuff that I've accumulated throughout the 7 years at this house. Besides, I'd rather do this than study for my last exam ever, but that story can be saved for another blog. I've always kept absolutely everything almost that I ever owned for the sake of "memories"...but I guess I simply just can't literally "move" my entire room to Hong Kong because that room is going to be half the size minus a wardrobe to boot.

So it's time to trash shit...and I really don't want to. I'm pretty useless at moving on when it comes to stuff like this, I guess I'd just like to look at stuff 20 years down the track and have a good laugh and a tear. Then again...it would be nice to have a completely new simple room and a fresh start...where do I draw this line?

My room is in a pretty shocking state...but hey I'm about to pack shit so it's allowed. Photos taken for the last I'll ever see my room like this!

The Snow III

This past weekend was probably the most entertaining one in many months....Probably the last good weekend before exams end! :( I mainly cbf with a typing a long blog entry today...so I'll just bombard it with photos.

We headed to Mission Bay on Friday to celebrate the completion of our last ever assignment~ The sun blasting my face while laying on the grass was one of the most refreshing feeling I've had in a long long time...Thanks Engineering.

Saturday was one big day of fixing cars...well ducky did we mainly sat around being not useful LOL. But yayyyyy car now heats up properly! I was actually amazed when it heated up with minutes, compared to staying completely cold for a good 20 minutes.

Sunday. Oh my God Sunday. Physically destroyed, but I don't think I've ever felt so much exhilaration in my life after jumping off a ramp. Then I took a huge bump to my left shoulder and smacked the back of my head pretty hard too :( Sigh, too many botches for my liking, but ALL STILL SO WORTH IT. I WANT TO GO AGAIN BEFORE I LEAVE NEW ZEALAND, FUUUUUUUUUU. Oh and being too cheap to eat food at Snowplanet ftw, roasted chicken from Foodtown was so good.

Woops I typed a long blog entry by accident anyway. >_>

The Countdown

Wow, it's being awfully difficult trying to get through the rest of this semester. Got quite a few days lined up, mainly due to my own ineptitude to complete anything before an hour the due date these days. If I made use of those few free days I had, I wouldn't be sitting here in my bed, trying to type a stupid report due tomorrow. Oh and having to do 403 in a single day...not to mention the 710 assignment due on Friday too. Sigh. But you know, this is one of my last chances to ever bitch about assignments. Strange huh? Maybe this time next year on this blog (if I'm still blogging, haha) I'll be bitching about work and stupid Asians instead!

Exciting times....

Where the hell is my Integer Typer :( I actually miss my car. Tonight I sat in Krishant (the ultimate Ladies's man) extremely new Honda Civic 2007. Went down with the Software crew at 10pm down to Mission Bay to have some Movenpick and kick a ball around. Little things like these, is what will make me miss Engineering oh so much more after its ended..

Paragraphs, I like them. Here's another one.

Wow, I can't believe Project is COMPLETELY over. Never thought that day would come. Mega props and hearts and love and shiz to Project Partner Shrek! Wouldn't have done it without ya! Here's a photo of the final submission to end this extremely long, pointless, useless, and uneventful blog entry. I think everyone should write more long blogs because I enjoy reading them :D

Oh and currently listening to Yellowcard - Believe. "Everything is gonna be alright. Be Strong. Believe". Good times.

The Damage

Amazingly it seems like the worst is over for the semester! I hope so anyway...the past 3 weeks have been hella intense, and it feels good doing absolutely nothing at night for once!

Anyway, so as all of you would probably know I had my first ever accident in a car the other day :( Highly disappoint, hopefully it will be my one and only accident :( For those who never saw the damage, well now you can!

Aww such a sad sight :'( hopefully its doing well right now at the hospital :(

The Reserve

So Uni's been a bit full on lately huh? So glad that I'm half way through the hell now...just 10 more days to get through!

Had to go to Bray's (my BFF for 17 years, no joke) to drop off something a sec ago, and on the way back I decided to drive up Point View Reserve. For those people who know where that is, you know the night view is absolutely beautiful...for those who don't know, well now you know it's beautiful. Memories were made up here for me...whether it was the beginning of something special, setting off some fireworks illegally, or simply a group of friends enjoying the night with some beer. As the rain kept coming down, I guess I could only think once again how fast time has flown. Oh yeah and my Integer Typer deserved to come up here with me at least once :D

The Deadlines

3 weeks of hell. Last year we had the month of hell...except this time everything matters 10 times more. I think I better list this down so I don't forget anything important.

Monday 6th September - Poster Submission
Tuesday 7th September - Presentation Slides Submission
Friday 10th September - Final Presentation
Monday 13th September - Final Report
Wednesday 15th September - AI Assignment 2
Friday 17th September - Exhibition Day
Monday 20th September - AI Test, Sustainability Assignment 3
Friday 24th September - Project Compendium, Parallel Assignment 2

That better be it ...Then I can work on other assignments in peace afterwards hopefully. I'm sure everyone else has just as stupid schedules, I just never realized it until the other day sigh.

Ah I added to my photo wall after over a year! I want more photos though, so I can recreate this in HK :(

The Tournament

Ah last day of this half of the semester already....I think I better prepare myself for a epic 3 weeks coming up!

Well today was an interesting day...it started off with the annual IEEE/ECE Indoor Soccer Tournament! After humiliation last year, we were all pretty determined to get out there and not embarrass ourselves again :( Besides, pretty sad how it's the last year since we're gonna do this together. Anyway, guess we came somewhat close but not close enough! Semi-Finals again like when we were in 2nd year....except we lost to Post Grad who won the whole thing in the end :( Ah well, could just come back next year and join the Post Grad team. LOL as if.

So after that amusement, I went down to find ducky, half and nurah. Long story short, half and I had a competition to see who could wear their sunglasses the longest. Yes, it was like 6pm and pitch black outside. Most amusing moment had to be ordering a Wendys and walking around JB. I think I won in the end LOL. Oh and we watched the end of Time Crisis 2, who the hell does that!

No my day hasn't finished yet, so shame you have to keep on reading ^_^. Hongkie Boy and I were awaiting the arrival of Machine and friends, so we decided to go for a mean man stroll. Victoria Park has playgrounds that are far too dangerous for people like us, including dangerous creatures like frogs and eels. Nothing really made sense at all. I was on a swing though, for the first time in God knows how.

Nice team photo below as seen on Facebook! Really wish we had won though!

The Dark

Ah approaching the last week of this half of the semester...Which means it's almost time for the completion of the 4th year project yay! >_<

Went to the Med Revue yesterday....I cringed for most of it. I actually think I laughed more in the Engineering revue now that I think about it. </3 Med Revue *bitchface*

<3 SummerSlam
<3 Nexus
<3 NXT

So I'm currently sitting in the dark at Engineering Level 5. Why? I have no idea, just waiting for myself to fall asleep sideways so I don't have to do 403 I suppose. Maybe I'll head to the beach later tonight, seems like I'm in one of those moods.

Why do I have no photos to share :(

The Ball

What the hell just happened tonight. I was busy having an awesome awesome fun time until some fucking parasite had to come and ruin my night, and people around me too.

Fuck I miss my Sony Ericsson Aino right now.

Night itself was awesome, music was good, venue was amazing, food and drinks weren't horrible and I couldn't have asked for better company. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me find the phone, maybe by miracle the phone was knocked off the table and turned off itself. I doubt it though. Oh my god I can't imagine the shit I'm gonna get from my parents tomorrow morning.

Time to revive the dead K700, if it even still works. Need to buy a charger. And a new SIM card.

Will upload Ball photos probably on Facebook....there were some nice photos :) I told you that you couldn't escape :P

The Snow II

Oh my gosh, so much pain. Yet it was so so worth it. Can totally ride down the slope now with no problems, even at speed. Except for the fact I can't do this whole toe-side thing so I can turn even smoother cause right now I'm switching as I go down....which is fine except I lose a lot of speed so it makes me sad :( But all in all it was another excellent day! I have an extremely sore left tricep, right wrist and ass. So you can imagine how hard it was driving home from ducky's in a manual car :( So keen to go again....more people should join us!

Photo taken during lunch....as usual ducky is pulling the worlds gayest face :D

Oh and Jason's 21st was the shit, balloon game in garden made no sense and neither did all the kitchen floor dancing that happened. It was awesome fun though.

The Concert I

30 Seconds To Mars. Logan Campbell Centre. 7.30pm.

First Rock concert I've been to....was pretty damn exciting and awesome. It was a pity I didn't know some of the songs from the first album and I only started listening to the latest album like 2 weeks ago >_> But it's all good! Jared Leto is an amazing frontman...got the crowd worked up amazingly well. His voice sounds exactly the same live as the album as well, which makes it all the more enjoyable.

Dislikes: Opening Act. I'm sorry...but you guys took 40 minutes of my life, and I didn't need to listen to repetitive electronica beats the whole time. Also did not enjoy the fact that the stage setup in between took like another 30 mins. 30 Seconds To Mars didn't even come on till like 9.15pm.

Likes: The Rest. Especially The Kill, Closer to the Edge, Vox Populi, A Beautiful Lie and Kings and Queens. Got pretty close to the front....but winner goes to Gavin though. He touched Jared Leto.

Oh yeah, and photos were so hard to take because arms were EVERYWHERE and it was obviously dark most of the time. It also didn't help my camera battery was running out, and that I was using Bray's memory card which I had to delete photos as I took new ones because it was so full....But hey! got some nice videos anyhow :P

The Future

Another week has past, what is it now, 10 weeks left? Better be 10 glorious weeks. Anyway, I thought I'd make a blog before I head off to sleep / putting myself into a sedated state to dream :)

Nothing much happened tonight...just mainly good laughs with friends, which is always simple yet so awesome. I suppose I'll share my funny story of the night. So after a guilt driven dinner, I was walking to Machine and RVDBs apartment, located extremely far away from my car. But hey, I was willing to go for a walk, exercise can't be bad for you right? Anyway, so I'm walking minding my own business, and I notice a group of loud and probably stoned Friday Night Whites walking towards me. I ignore them....because that's what you would do right? Suddenly I hear a BANG right next to me and I literally poo my pants because I had no idea what the hell just happened. I turn to my right, and I see one of the white man KO'd on the ground. The guy had walked face first and smacked into a bus stop sign. As he lay there groaning, I accelerated my walking speed because I simply could not contain my laughter. Such an asshole I am, but you all would of laughed and you know it.

Long story short, I then headed back to the safe realms of East Auckland at about 10pm and met up with my one and only fellow hongkie boy and had drinks at Night Owl. It was a first....but the place is soooo Cantonese. I don't remember the last time I was greeted in Cantonese at like one of those milk tea kinda style places. It was mean, and had many many talks about the future and everything....Yeah we all grew up pretty fast ay!

Guess I better sleep now...nah who am I kidding I'll watch an episode of Breaking Bad first.

P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HALF TODAY, HE IS A OLD OLD OOOOOOOOLLDDDDD AGE OF 22. Shame g. ^_^

P.P.S. Blog entry needs a photo. So here it is, ignore the quality though they turned the lights off above us :(

The NSX

I don't have anything to blog about....but I'm feeling extremely bored right now. So I thought I'd just upload a photo of the latest model to join the family! Proper scenery photos of all the models who come soon hopefully! This involves you my fellow hongkie boy!

So welcome: Tamiya's Honda NSX.

The Snow

Today was a nice day, nice enough for it to warrant a blog! I learnt how to snowboard today...it wasn't easy but I think I was getting it towards the end! Seriously, I'm probably more tired dragging myself up the lift than the actual snowboarding. But it was awesome! I had the stupid idea of wearing jeans to it, without thinking that jeans don't dry very well. So I had a wet ass pretty much the whole day, and the feeling of a shower after I finally reached home at the glorious time of like 10pm (we were there from like 11am) was glorious.

Two amusing moments stand out for me...Actually both could of turned out horrifying but since nothing went bad it was hilarious in hindsight. The first one was when a dad and his daughter was sking...and then the dad lets the daughter go and tries to get her to go down herself. Of course the daughter just gets faster and faster and all you hear from the dad is "TURNNNN, TURRNNNN, NOOOO", because his daughter just REALLY was not turning. Either way that could of turned horrible....but stopped before she got to the bottom somehow, and me and HALF had mean laughs cause we're assholes. The second one was when one of the dudes working was trying to put a pole back into the ground....and this asian girl couldn't stop in a time and completely took the poor dude out. It seriously looked like she killed him. But he was fine, so I laughed inside. So anyway, all in all a good day, and I'm clearly rambling now.

So like...there was a sad moment there. When ducky and I were saying how nice it would be to go snowboarding in the winter, and surfing in the summer. How nice would it be. How nice it really would be. Then I realized I was leaving NZ and I got sad all over again. Sigh.

The Inevitable

New Zealand - My home for the last 17 years. You know, I still can't believe that I have just a little over 6 months before I leave this country. If I could stay here, I would, but I've made a decision to leave based on every single factor that I could take into account...and I'm extremely sad that I have to leave. It's got me thinking though, just how am I going to live in a city that is completely opposite to what I've been used to growing up?

Whatever, what's the point of worrying about something that hasn't even started yet? But it did get me thinking of something else. I'd never realize how much I really did love New Zealand. I used to bag the country for being boring, nothing to do and everything was expensive. The closer I am to leaving the more I realize how much instead I'm going to miss the fresh air, the beautiful blue skies, the sound of the waves at the clear sea, driving at night with the windows down and the air blowing in, and most of all, all the friends that I have made here. New Zealand provided me everyone that has ever mattered to me (except my family), and these same people are the ones that have moulded me into the person I am today. Every single living memory I have, from the playground swings at my Primary, to oversleeping at the Engineering building, have all been here.

So as cheesy as it sounds, I am extremely proud to be a New Zealander. Proud to call myself a Kiwi. It is an identity I will never forget. I really hope I will have a chance to return here one day and live long term again, never say never. Until then, I'm going to try make the most out of everything, I don't want to leave here with any regrets.
